The Alzheimer's Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 2:00pm until approximately 3:30pm. The support group is open for all caregivers or friends and family who have a loved one living with any type of dementia or memory loss. The group is non judgmental and is in an open format to express the frustrations, anger, and feelings of being alone caring for a person with any form of dementia. The group members are very supportive of each other. At times the group will cry until we learn to laugh with the knowledge that we are not alone, and the behaviors exhibited by the loved ones afflicted with dementia are merely a symptom of the disease. All are welcome to become a member of our support group. We encourage all group participants to take as good care of themselves as they do their loved ones. | |
