Appreciation Day for Emergency Personnel
Dated :
09.30.2010
Crestwood, IL - Crestwood Care Centre along with neighboring The Pointe at Kilpatrick, co-hosted their annual Appreciation Day for local emergency response personnel on Thursday, September 30th. Everyone from the Crestwood and Midlothian police departments & fire stations were invited to attend the cookout. The warm, sunny day was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying great food and BBQ grilled on-site by Uncle Bub's. Unfortunately, as is common for these men and women of public service, several were called to duty during the meal.
Throughout the afternoon, free raffle tickets were given out to all of the attendees and a large gift basket was given away at the end of the lunch. There was also live entertainment from Mo Beat Blues' Samual Lozado. With his strong vocals, impressive harmonica playing and his overall interaction with the crowd, Samual provided for an energetic and friendly neighborhood atmosphere.
We hope that all of those who were able to attend enjoyed the day as much as we enjoyed having them. So once again, we would like to say thank you to the Crestwood and Midlothian police forces, fire departments and all of the EMTs who provide their necessary services and even risk their lives, to help make our community safer.
