Crestwood, IL - Crestwood Care Centre, 14255 S. Cicero Ave. participated in the 2010 Memory Walk at Lincoln Park in Chicago, IL.  The event was held Saturday, September 11th and the Crestwood team raised over $1,000 in donations for the Alzheimer's Association.  Though the weather was not very cooperative, the rain did not deter the staff, volunteers and family members from participating in such a wonderful event. One particular family had recently lost a member to Alzheimer's. A resident at Crestwood for the last year, Jay Jones, passed away July 31, 2010.  His family joined the Crestwood team in their efforts to raise money and awareness as a way to pay respect to the care given by Crestwood Care Centre and the hard work being done daily by the Alzheimer's Association.  Jay's family regularly attended the Alzheimer's Support Group, held the first Tuesday of every month at 2:00pm at Crestwood Care Centre. We would like to thank the Jones family for their courage and dedication. Thanks again to everyone who helped in making this another successful event in the fight against Alzheimer's!  See you next year.
