Crestwood Care Centre - Crestwood, IL

On Sunday, September 18th thousands participated in The Walk to End Alzheimer's, including the Crestwood Care Bears from Crestwood Care Centre.  This year, throughout the countless walks around the nation, participants carried daisies.  The different colored daisies symbolize why a person is participating: 

• The blue daisy represents a person who has Alzheimer’s
• The purple daisy represents a person who lost a loved one to Alzheimer’s
• The yellow daisy represents a caregiver

Despite the rain, there was a great turnout for the Chicago area walk. The Crestwood Care Bears raised almost $800 for the Alzheimer's Association.  Though the walk is an annual tradition, Crestwood Care Centre is committed to Alzheimer's awareness year round.  Through our monthly Alzheimer's Support Group meetings and Alzheimer's Education seminars, Crestwood Care is a community resource for Alzheimer's/dementia information.  Most importantly, our speciailzed care for those residents living with Alzheimer's/dementia provides a safe, secure and enriching environment to call home.
