Peter Kelly, Community Outreach Coordinator for Crestwood Care Centre and CEDA board member, would like to announce the success of their first annual CEDA Picnic. CEDA (Community and Economic Development Association) is a non-for-profit organization in Cook County, IL. The organization provides several forms of assistance, including:

  • Liheap, for low income home energy assistance program.
  • Head Start program for children from birth to age 5.
  • WIC program, which provides a food assistance program for women, infants and children.
  • Offers informative programs on healthy diets for pregnant women and young children.
  • They provide air conditioners to seniors in the warmer months.

The goal of the picnic was to raise awareness for the organization as well as bring members of the community together.  As part of the community, Crestwood Care Centre strives to do it's part in helping raise the quality of lives for everyone.  A community resource for senior health care issues, Crestwood Care also partners with several charitable organiztions in raising awareness and goods for those in need.
