Crestwood, IL - Crestwood Care Centre would like to introduce you to one of our long term residents, Margaret "Margo" Edwards. If you have already read the notice about the food drive being held at Crestwood Care Centre, then you have seen the poem that our resident, Margo wrote in honor of the occasion.  She has been living at Crestwood Care Centre for almost 9 years and is very involved in the community. She has been on the Resident Council for 8 years and is currently the Treasurer.  She organizes and conducts fundraisers on behalf of all of the residents to provide, for she calls, "special extras".
   Margo just turned 69 on September 26th and says she has "loved words for 66 years".  She went on to say "I was blessed to be able to tell a story poetically.  Name the subject and the rhythm of words come to me by the grace of God. I have truly been blessed".  All of us at Crestwood feel blessed being able to share in the daily life of such a wonderful and creative person.  A huge thanks to Margo for all of her years of hard work, as well as her poetry. She truly makes Crestwood Care Centre a special community to live and work in.
